In December, it was decided that Tony An would have a probationary period of one year during which he has to avoid all criminal charges in order to avoid a 6-month jail sentence for illegal gambling. Subsequently, one of Korea's biggest broadcasting stations KBS has decided to ban all of Tony An's songs, which include songs from the legendary group H.O.T.
KBS revealed to news outletsSports Seouland Star Newson February 13, "On December 3, 2013, all of H.O.T's songs such as 'Candy' and 'Warrior's Descendant' were deemed unqualified for broadcast and have been classified as banned songs." According to KBS, this decision, as well as similar decisions, was based on a clause to stop his show appearances as well as broadcasts of images and music that may result in compensation of Tony An, who they believe is shedding a negative light in society for his recent illegal gambling scandal.
