Currently, prosecutors in Korea are investigating famous female celebrities who might have been involved in prostitution.
The prosecution office said, "We are seizing a situation in which expert brokers
are involving themselves in organized prostitution." The Suwon Prosecution Office's Ansan Branch revealed on December 12 that they were investigating dozens of female celebrities for prostitution in relation to company executives and wealthy men. A considerable number of these women are even now actively pursuing activities as top stars.

The number of women involved is approaching thirty and said to include two top female stars known for now as A and B who happen to be married women. B is an actress married to a famous star both popular in and out of the country while A is a woman in her 30's who won the Miss Korea competition in the '90s and proceeded to become an actress.
The prosecution office revealed, "We plan on continuing to expand our investigation of the celebrities who acceded to prostitution, the customers, as well as broker C who acted as an agent in the prostitution."
A request for a warrant to arrest C had been dismissed on the grounds of insufficient evidence, although he is being suspected of introducing six wealthy men to famous female celebrities. The prosecutors plan to make another demand for the arrest warrant.
Back in November, a few female celebrities were seen entertaining rich men. Since then, the involved people were directly called forward for preliminary investigations.
One source said, "In the case of some female celebrities, they entered a famous host bar with male hosts so there are even suspicions that they were also customers of prostitution . . . If the full account of the situation were to be exposed, there would most likely be a huge storm."
A female celebrity who is being suspected of prostituting herself to wealthy men revealed her side of the situation. A rep from her agency said in an interview, "The topic of prostitution did come up, but the celebrities mentioned in the list were all people who've had a lot of problems in the past."
Two of the celebrities who were confirmed to have reached out to wealthy men and subsequently investigated said, "It is true we met the rich men, but we did not prostitute ourselves."
