Lee Ji Ah decides not to renew her contract with Key East Entertainment

Earlier, we reported that Lee Ji Ah's contract with her agency, Key East Entertainment, had expired at the end of December last year. Although many were hoping that she'd renew her contract with the agency, Lee Ji Ah has decided to part ways. A representative of Key East revealed, "Lee Ji Ah's contract expired on December 31st. Since then, she's decided not to renew her contract and will instead find a new label." They continued, "Lee Ji Ah possesses a variety of talents, and thus wanted to spread her wings in a new place with a fresh start. We wanted to respect her decision, as both parties felt the need for change. As she is one of our long-time artist, we will lend her our support until she finds a new label." When asked whether the decision had anything to do with her divorce to Seo Taiji, they replied, "That is not true at all. She was on good terms with the label at the time of the scandal so there is no reason for that to come into play now." Source + Photos: Star N News via Naver
