On December 21st, KBS announced their list of nominations for the '2011 KBS Entertainment Awards'. Netizens were quick to discover that entertainer Kang Ho Dong had been excluded from the list.
Currently, the 'Top 5' nominations include Kim Byung Man ('Gag Concert'), Shin Dong Yeob ('Immortal Song 2'), Yoo Jae Suk ('Happy Together 3'), Lee Kyung Gyu ('Qualifications of Men'), and Lee Seung Gi ('1 Night 2 Days').
When asked why Kang Ho Dong was excluded, a representative of KBS explained, "Kang Ho Dong is technically under temporary retirement from the industry so there is still potential for controversy there, which is why we left him out of the list."
While many have expressed their disappointment in KBS's decision, others are looking forward to seeing who will step up to take the prestigious trophy.
