Park Shin Hye learns how to play the 'gayageum' for MBC's "You've Fallen For Me"

Actress Park Shin Hye is known for not only her talent, but diligent work style, and she's showing it again by personally learning how to play the gayageum, a traditional Korean string instrument, for her role in MBC's upcoming drama, "You've Fallen For Me." Immediately after her casting, she began working with a kukak professor for private lessons. She showed such passion and dedication that her hands are now full of blisters and hardened skin. Park commented, "I learned about the gayageum through 'Kyu Won', my character.Unlike its stocky outer appearance, it has such a clear, feminine sound, which immediately captivated me.Although I'm still lacking, I'm using every spare moment I can to practice and hopefully create more beautiful sounds." She continued, "'Kyu Won' isn't actually a gayageum prodigy, but more like someone that's been deeply influenced by her grandfather. She's known about it all her life.By meeting 'Lee Shin' and 'Kim Suk Hyun', she goes through bumps along the way, but through that experience, eventually comes to find what her dream really is." This teenage melodrama is scheduled begin airing on June 29th! Source + Photos: Star News via Nate
