SHINee's Minho studied hard to become a singer

SHINee's Minho revealed on today's episode of SBS's Strong Heart that he placed within the top ten students at his school in academics. The young idol explained that he was approached on the street by a casting manager from SM Entertainment, and he felt that he needed to prove to his father how serious he was about the opportunity by improving his grades. He also revealed that he originally dreamed of being a soccer star as he was exposed to the sport from a young age. His father, famous soccer coach Choi Yoongam, opposed as he felt the life of a soccer star was too difficult. It seems that having let go of his soccer dream, Minho was all the more determined to become a singer. SHINee fans and many others probably agree with his decision. Source: Nate
