Kim Taeheon, best known as the main rapper of second-generation group ZE:A, has officially kicked off his solo career with the release of his heartfelt debut single “For Mama.”

Released on August 29 across major streaming platforms, “For Mama” is a deeply personal track inspired by Taeheon’s own life. The lyrics draw from his painful experience of losing both parents at a young age and his determination to find strength while growing up alone. The single was produced by hitmaker Brave Brothers, who is widely recognized for crafting numerous chart-topping songs.
Taeheon originally debuted in 2010 as a member of ZE:A, a nine-member boy group under Star Empire Entertainment known for hit tracks like “Aftereffect,” “Breathe,” and “Mazeltov.” The lineup also featured Park Hyungsik, Yim Siwan, Hwang Kwanghee, and Kim Dongjun, who have since gone on to build successful careers in acting, music, and variety entertainment.

Although ZE:A has been inactive in recent years, Taeheon has stayed connected with longtime fans. With “For Mama,” he begins a powerful new chapter as a solo artist. A music video is also in the works, though its release date has yet to be announced.
