Lea was in fact the first member of her family to venture into the K-Pop industry. In 2017, she debuted as a member of the girl group VIVA; however, the team was disbanded after just one album.
Now, Lea is active as a model as well as a rising YouTuber (@LEANAVVAB). Some of her earliest videos also featured her sister Huening Bahiyyih, who is currently a contestant on the Mnet survival program 'Girls Planet 999'.
In her full-length interview with &Asian, Lea discussed her life growing up in a multicultural home. She revealed, "I went to school in China and [went to] a Chinese school so I can speak Chinese a little. Then I learned English from my dad and Korean from my mom... But my mom and dad speak Chinese, Korean and English so I learned a lot of languages from them. So I can speak Chinese a little, English I can speak like this [fluently] and Korean is my first language."
Lea was also asked if she would ever consider becoming a K-Pop idol again. She honestly answered, “I still want to be an idol. Though I did it [before], it didn’t work out. So if I have another chance I want to try again. But still, I like my life right now. I have a lot of fans, I have my company and my YouTube channel. I’m doing great right now."
