On the afternoon of May 16, 2PM's Taecyeon appeared in front of his fans and the press after his official discharge from his 20-month mandatory military service!

Numerous fans from around the world showed up to greet Taecyeon on the day of his discharge, as well as fellow 2PM member Chansung. After giving his final salute in his soldier's uniform, Taecyeon was asked about the new nickname he earned while carrying out his military service, "Captain Korea". He said, "I've heard it before. Thank you for the nickname. I feel very pressured by it. I think I got the nickname after a photo around the time when I worked out a lot. I'll do my best to live up to it from now on." 

Next, Taecyeon gave a shoutout to his 2PM members, with, "I was not able to contact two of the members, as they are also serving in the military right now. I made plans to meet with Nichkhun later, and Chansung is here to see me too. The members came to see me all the time. Except Junho, who is very busy with drama schedules and such. I want to see all the members as soon as possible. I want to show everyone a good image, together with the members that I love."
