On February 1, the Gyeonggi province police personnel revealed tight security regulations will be enforced following graduation month in February and introduced the 'School Bullying Prevention Act.'

On graduation day, parents and the local community will work together to hold a campaign to stop school bullying.  Police will be patrolling the streets checking nearby internet cafes, karaoke places to see if any alcohol or cigarettes are being sold to underage students.

Furthermore, anyone who throws flour or eggs at others will be arrested for assault.  As well as those who steal money on graduation day as a farewell greeting will be punished.

The police commented, "We will continue to keep watch in the ever growing school community especially during this graduation period."

It's a graduation ritual in Korea for graduating students to have eggs and flour thrown at them.  However, some have taken things to the extreme and some of these ceremonies can be described as borderline assault. The police hope this will prevent such an event from happening.

They need the British method. No graduation. You just stop showing up at school one day when your final exams are over. Its completely anti-climatic and someone is always left going for 3 days longer then their friends.

Well... we did food fights in mine.

That actually sounds like fun! Of course the police need to ruin it

The police are not the ones who ruined it. It's those who took advantage of an innocent celebration to bully others.

Ummm why not just throw flour and not egg ??

nemomeetsrabbit Sophia_Sone4ever Thursday, February 2, 2017

i think the egg meant to make the flour stick , so its not easy to wash out...its not fun if its just flour as it can be dust off easily lol

Sophia_Sone4ever nemomeetsrabbit Thursday, February 2, 2017
