Have you ever thought to yourself, "Korean dramas are so unrealistic"

It looks like BuzzFeed agrees! They recently proved just how ridiculously unrealistic and crazy Korean drama characters can be in a new parody clip, just so you won't have to try acting like a Korean drama character to your friends and make a complete fool of youself.

Am i the only one who thinks kdramas r more simplified versions of real life? Therefore the mean things and etc r more obvious but often times i found myself relationg to them...

This is funny, but also are stereotypes and cliches. True to some dramas (mostly weekend dramas and melodramas) but not to all. There are many genres amongst Korean TV shows just like any other country's TV shows. If anyone is steering clear of K-Dramas because of this stuff, you should really give the actual good stuff a try. There's lots to choose from, many without cliches. But if anyone recommends you Boys Over Flowers, don't listen to them. They're crazy. Don't watch it. Please don't.

If anyone wants recs, my personal favorite dramas of all time are Gaksital (period drama set during Japanese occupation about freedom fighters with a great antihero... get past episode 10 or so, that's when it gets really good), Liar Game (suspense drama about a sinister reality show where people try to cheat others out of their money), Healer (this drama basically covers 5 different genres yet does it so seamlessly and addictively... about a night errand boy who find himself tangled up in a dangerous, complex plot of interconnecting histories and relationships), Misaeng (a drama about life. Simple as that. Heartbreakingly raw and super realistic look at the workplace and everyday lives of office workers), Shut Up: Flower Boy Band (the best youth drama I've ever seen, even better than the beloved Answer Me 1997 for me (which I also love to bits), it's a music drama that isn't really about the music but about the relationship between the boys in the band, surprisingly complex characters and relationships), and I Remember You (a crime drama that takes a very interesting look into what makes a killer, what makes a monster).
