hrtz.wav is set to inject new energy into the band scene with their distinctive musical identity.
The group will officially debut on April 8 KST with their first mini album ‘The First Wave,’ marking their entry into the music industry.
Formed through Mnet’s band survival program 'Steel Heart Club', which concluded in December last year, hrtz.wav has already garnered attention as a “complete band.” Each member proved their individual talent and uniqueness during the competition, coming together to form a team with strong synergy and clear musical direction from the outset.
The band consists of Yoon Youngjun (keyboard), Lian (vocals), Dain (bass), K Ten (guitar), and Hagiwa (drums), all of whom bring proven skills in their respective positions.
Keyboardist Yoon Youngjun, known for his producing capabilities, plays a key role in shaping and balancing the group’s overall sound. Vocalist Lian, who ranked first in the survival show’s finale, stands out as a frontman with a wide vocal range and strong emotional delivery.
Bassist Dain anchors the group with stable performances and contributes as an all round artist, participating in songwriting, composing, arranging, and even vocals. Guitarist K Ten, a Berklee College of Music graduate, showcases versatility across genres such as jazz, rock, and alternative, further expanding the band’s musical scope.
Drummer Hagiwa adds dynamic performance energy, earning recognition for his technical skills, including his use of double pedal techniques, as well as his strong stage presence.
Built on a pop rock foundation, hrtz.wav explores a hybrid sound that blends alternative, pop, and modern rock elements, positioning the band with global appeal and strong live performance potential.
In addition to their debut album, the band is set to participate in the OST lineup for the upcoming MBC drama '21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife', premiering on April 10. Through this, hrtz.wav is expected to further showcase their musical range and connect with a broader audience.
