ILLIT have successfully wrapped up the Seoul concerts that opened their first solo tour, while also beginning the countdown to their upcoming comeback with a new album.
ILLIT held their first tour concert ‘ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥︎’ in SEOUL’ on March 14 and 15 at Ticketlink Live Arena in Songpa gu, Seoul. The group heated up the venue with their stable live vocals, strong performances, and relaxed stage presence. Toward the end of the final show, they surprised fans by announcing news of their upcoming comeback.
ILLIT will return on April 30 with their new album ‘MAMIHLAPINATAPAI.’ The album’s unique title has already caught fans’ attention. The word originates from the language of the Yaghan people of South America and is known as one of the most difficult words to translate, even being listed in the Guinness World Records. It refers to the subtle look shared between two people who both want the other to initiate something they secretly wish for but hesitate to do themselves.
With such a distinctive concept, curiosity is growing over what kind of delicate and unique emotions ILLIT will express through the upcoming release.
Following the Seoul concerts, the group will continue their tour across Asia, performing in Aichi (June 13 to 14), Osaka (June 20 to 21), Fukuoka (June 29 to 30), Hyogo (July 18 to 19), Tokyo (July 23 and July 25 to 26), and Hong Kong (August 22).

At the Seoul shows, ILLIT performed for about 120 minutes, presenting songs from their mini albums as well as all tracks from their latest single album. The concert’s concept unfolded like progressing through levels of a video game, while kitschy pixel art visuals highlighted the group’s signature aesthetic known as “ILLIT core.”
The members shared their thoughts with fans, saying, “Thanks to GLLIT, we were able to press the start button for this journey together. We are approaching our second debut anniversary soon, and ‘PRESS START’ reminded us to keep working even harder.” They added, “We were happy to share a stage where GLLIT and ILLIT could become one. We will continue to work hard to become artists you can be proud of.”
After proving their popularity with sold out shows in Seoul and additional limited view seats opening, ILLIT will continue building momentum as a global rising group. Following their comeback on April 30, the group will embark on an Asia tour spanning Japan and Hong Kong starting in June.
