Actress Ha Ji Won showcased her down to earth charm during her appearance on Sung Si Kyung’s YouTube channel.
In the March 18 episode, Ha Ji Won reunited with Sung Si Kyung for the first time in a while. Although she was shy at first, she gradually opened up while enjoying food and wine and having a candid conversation.
She also shared her approach to maintaining her physique. “People often ask what kind of workouts I do,” she said. “I focus on stretching while understanding how muscles work. I apply strength to areas that need stimulation and communicate with my body.” She added, “I think I’ve become more efficient at working out thanks to the consistency I’ve built over time.”
Ha Ji Won also expressed her passion for her upcoming drama ‘Climax,’ marking her return to the small screen after four years. She revealed, “It wasn’t easy portraying Chu Sang Ah, a character driven by intense desire. I kept asking myself, ‘Would I be able to go that far if I were her?’ throughout filming.”
She further shared that she underwent physical changes for the role. “To create a sharper character, I went through intense training to reduce muscle mass and change my overall body shape,” she explained. Speaking about her co star Joo Ji Hoon, she added, “We had great chemistry, to the point where even difficult scenes like intense marital arguments were completed in one take.”

During the episode, Ha Ji Won also expressed her appreciation for Sung Si Kyung’s song “You Are My Spring,” which was featured as an OST for her hit drama ‘Secret Garden.’ She shared, “I listened to it a lot even after the drama ended, and I always come back to it every spring. It makes me feel loved,” which moved Sung Si Kyung.
Lastly, Ha Ji Won reflected on how the pandemic gave her time to look back on herself beyond her identity as an actress. “Thanks to that time, filming ‘Climax’ felt like starting acting all over again,” she said. “I’m really happy right now.”
