Comedian Kim Jiyu revealed her instant crush on Girls' Generation member Taeyeon’s older brother during the March 14 episode of tvN’s 'Amazing Saturday.'
The episode featured special guests including NCT unit JNJM unit members Jeno and Jaemin, as well as the comedy duo Im Woo Il and Kim Jiyu.
Known for her playful flirting skills, earning her the nickname “MZ Fox,” Kim Jiyu surprised everyone by confessing that she had a special crush. She named Taeyeon as the reason for her nerves, admitting, “I was so nervous that I only slept an hour and a half,” showing her extraordinary fan devotion.
Kim Jiyu shared, “Taeyeon is from Jeonju, and I’m from Jeonju too. That made me even more excited. Back in middle school, there was a girl group fan signing at Entepia Square in Jeonju, and Taeyeon’s older brother was there too.” She continued, “I saw him from afar, and he was shining. They greeted each other, and I fell in love at first sight. He was well-known in Jeonju for being handsome. His name is Kim Ji Woong.”
Taeyeon responded in surprise, “How do you even know his name?” Kim Jiyu explained, “I knew everything because I liked him. I even asked a mutual friend to arrange a meeting so I could greet him, but the schedules didn’t match, so we couldn’t meet.”
Host Shin Dong Yup joked, “You almost became her sister-in-law! Does he still live in Jeonju? Is he married?” Taeyeon clarified, “He’s single.” Kim Jiyu added, laughing, “I even confirmed that he’s single, getting information through connections,” drawing laughs from the audience.
