Lim Su Been, who gained attention as a cast member of Netflix’s dating reality show 'Single’s Inferno 5,' is making his acting debut in a television drama.
According to sources on February 13, Lim Su Been will appear in the upcoming tvN drama 'Gift,' marking his official transition into acting. He attended the script reading held at an undisclosed location, where he is set to work closely with the lead actors.
Lim Su Been has previously worked as a model and actor under the stage name Chabin. He appeared in a supporting role in MBC’s 'A Head Coach's Turnover' in 2025 and has also acted in short-form dramas, steadily pursuing his dream of acting.
This year, he gained further attention on 'Single’s Inferno 5,' noted for his resemblance to actor Song Joong Ki. Lim Su Been also formed a final couple with castmate Park Heesun on the show. Following the broadcast, he hinted at a blossoming real-life relationship, describing it as a “precious connection.” With both public attention and personal success, Lim Su Been is poised to focus fully on his acting career with his role in 'Gift.'
'Gift' is a baseball drama adapted from the popular Kakao Webtoon of the same name. The story follows a professional baseball team coach who, after a sudden accident grants him extraordinary abilities, becomes the manager of an amateur last-place team. Actor Kim Woo Bin takes the lead, with filming scheduled for the first half of this year.
Notably, Lim Su Been is a former baseball player himself, having played as a pitcher for 10 years before a career-ending injury led him to the entertainment industry. With the drama allowing him to combine his athletic experience and acting ambitions, audiences are eager to see how he will shine in 'Gift.'
