Shin Gi Ru revealed on a recent episode of the YouTube program 'Tto Gan Jip' that she was once removed from multiple health-oriented broadcasts because she was found to be in unexpectedly good health. During the 'Sangam' episode released on the channel Studio Suje on February 6, the comedian discussed her experiences filming programs such as 'How to Use My Body', 'The Body God', and 'The Century Enjoyment Show'. She explained that while these shows often expect health-related "red flags" from guests of her physical stature, her medical results consistently failed to show significant issues, leading to her dismissal from certain segments.

Shin Gi Ru shared a specific anecdote from a program titled 'War on Fat', which featured actress Shin Ae Ra. After the cast consumed chickpeas prepared by Shin Ae Ra and subsequently checked their blood sugar levels, Shin Gi Ru’s results were found to be lower than those of the actress. Following this revelation, the production staff informed her that she would no longer be appearing on the show. The comedian joked that rumors began to circulate in the industry that she was "healthier than expected," which made her feel "on pins and needles" while sitting in health-related panels.
Shin Gi Ru, who debuted in 2005, previously confirmed on the program 'Omniscient Interfering View' that she weighs 127kg. However, her reputation for having a resilient physical condition was further supported by a medical examination on another variety show, where a traditional Chinese medicine doctor described her as having a "naturally born healthy constitution" for which there was little clinical advice to give. Despite the humorous nature of her being "fired" for her health, Shin Gi Ru continues to be a popular figure in broadcasting, known for her candid storytelling and unique persona.
