Recently, an anecdote about ALLDAY PROJECT's Annie during her high school era has surfaced.
In a YouTube video posted by Song Ja Ho, CEO of Pica Project, Annie's modest side despite being an heiress of one of the biggest conglomerates in South Korea took center stage. Annie is the granddaughter of Lee Myung Hee, the honorary chairwoman of Shinsegae Group, and the eldest daughter of Jung Yoo Kyung, drawing considerable attention as a child from a wealthy family even before her debut.
In the recent video, Song revealed that he had become friends with Annie while she was studying in the United States. He recalled, "Everyone knew through rumors among friends that Annie’s family owned Shinsegae, but she never flaunted it," describing the atmosphere at the time.

He also highlighted the unexpected frugal lifestyle of third-generation chaebol heirs. He explained, “The real chaebol kids often have little money when they’re students,” adding, “During school, meals were usually paid for by children of mid-sized company owners like me. Annie, for instance, once seriously debated whether to buy a new pair of AirPods worth around 200,000 KRW (approx. 140 USD).” He even noted that when Annie jokingly asked someone to buy them for her, he thought to himself, “So even the rich ones worry about this.”
Meanwhile, Song Ja Ho, who shared the story, is the eldest grandson of former Dongwon Construction chairman Song Seung Heon. He is known for his past public relationship with Kara’s Park Gyu Ri and a DUI incident. He is currently facing trial on charges of cryptocurrency fraud and violations of capital market laws.
Annie attended the prestigious Chapin School in the U.S. and is currently studying art history at Columbia University, with her graduation scheduled for May.
