NMIXX will become the first K-pop artist to take part in one of the world’s largest festivals, Brazil’s Carnival.
From February 14 to 18 (local time), the Carnival will be held over five days in São Paulo, Brazil. On February 16, NMIXX will appear as special guests at a block party hosted by leading local artist Pabllo Vittar as part of the festival.
A block party refers to the street celebrations that are a key part of Brazil’s Carnival, and NMIXX will be the first K-pop artist to participate. This performance symbolizes a historic fusion between K-pop, which has captivated music fans worldwide, and Brazilian pop. The NMIXX members will take the stage at Pabllo Vittar’s block party to deliver a special and exciting experience for local audiences enjoying the Carnival.
About six months after drawing global attention with their collaboration track ‘MEXE,’ NMIXX and Pabllo Vittar will reunite at Brazil’s Carnival to showcase their dynamic synergy once again. ‘MEXE’ is a song that blends NMIXX’s signature ‘MIXX POP’ sound with Pabllo Vittar’s energetic and distinctive Brazilian pop style. It features joint vocals from both artists, lyrics written in both Korean and Portuguese, and Latin style choreography.
Since their debut in 2022, NMIXX has steadily built a strong fanbase in Brazil. Through this historic appearance as the first K-pop artist to participate in Brazil’s Carnival, they are set to further prove their strong local popularity and influence.
