Actors Lee Jae Hoon and Ha Young have been confirmed to star in SBS’s upcoming legal drama.
On February 12, SBS officially announced, “Lee Jae Hoon and Ha Young will appear in the new drama ‘There’s a Winning Chance’ (literal translation),” confirming the lead cast for the series.
'There’s a Winning Chance' is a legal drama based on TV Asahi’s 2018 Japanese series 'Legal V: Former Lawyer Takanashi Shoko.' The story follows a former lawyer who was stripped of their license and later takes on a powerful law firm.
Lee Jae Hoon will take on the role of Kwon Baek, an office manager at the law firm Seungsan who previously lost his law license after becoming entangled in a bribery scandal. After hitting rock bottom, he forms an unconventional team and sets out to uncover the truth while planning his comeback.
Ha Young will play rookie lawyer Yeo Sim Hee, who accepts Kwon Baek’s recruitment offer without knowing about his past scandal. Though initially disappointed by her fallen role model, she gradually grows into a capable lawyer under his guidance after discovering his hidden abilities.
The drama will be directed by Kwon Da Som, known for 'Connection' and 'My Demon,' with the script written by Jung Jin Young and Kim Eui Chan. In addition to Ha Young, actors Lee Jae Won, Ok Ja Yeon, and Cho Seong Ha are also reportedly joining the cast.
'There’s a Winning Chance' is scheduled to premiere next year.
