ENHYPEN’s Jungwon shared a heartfelt message of gratitude as he marked his birthday with a meaningful act of giving.
To commemorate his birthday on February 9, Jungwon pledged a total donation of 100 million KRW (approx. 68,592 USD) and officially joined the Community Chest of Korea’s high-value individual donor program, the Honor Society.
The artist said the donation was his way of giving back to society in appreciation for the immense love he has received from fans over the years. He also expressed his intention to continue giving on a consistent, annual basis.
The contribution will be donated in installments of 20 million KRW (approx. 13,722 USD) per year over five years. It will be used to support children and adolescents from underprivileged backgrounds, as well as broader welfare initiatives.
“As a K-pop artist who has received so much love, I’ve always believed that the attention and support I get should never be taken for granted,” Jungwon said. “That naturally led me to take an interest in the rights and environments that everyone deserves to enjoy.”
He added, “I hope this can be a source of encouragement and courage for children who are unable to enjoy their basic rights due to barriers in their environment.”
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN ranked second in the “Person of the Year Under 30” category in global content analytics firm Parrot Analytics’ 2025 Annual Report.
Last year, the group held their world tour 'WALK THE LINE,' performing 32 shows across 19 cities worldwide and drawing a total audience of approximately 676,000 fans.
