Singer YENA is strengthening her presence in Japan with the release of a new Japanese single.
At midnight on January 21st KST, YENA released her Japanese single "NEMONEMO -Japanese Ver.-". The single marks her third year of music activities in Japan and signals the beginning of her 2026 promotions.
Originally released in Korea in September 2024, "NEMONEMO" is an electronic dance track known for its addictive sound and straightforward lyrics. Its point choreography—expressing sharp, angular emotions of love—quickly went viral across social media. The music video surpassed 20 million views on YouTube, earning strong support from global K-pop fans, while requests from Japanese fans for a Japanese version continued to grow.
YENA began her activities in Japan in February 2023, steadily building her local presence with releases such as "SMILEY -Japanese Ver.- (feat. Chanmina)" and "DNA". More recently, she further solidified her image as a next-generation pop icon through "STAR! (feat. Hatsune Miku)", a collaboration with the globally renowned virtual singer. With NEMONEMO -Japanese Ver.-, YENA is expected to expand her connection with Japanese fans even further.
To commemorate the release, YENA’s official YouTube channel will sequentially unveil live footage of NEMONEMO -Japanese Ver.-, which she previously performed for local fans at her Japan concert '2025 THE YENA SHOW <私はSTAR!>', held in September last year.
Meanwhile, as she enters her third year of activities in Japan, YENA plans to continue engaging with local fans across various fields, including music and live performances. Attention is now focused on her 2026 Japan activities, set in motion with the release of NEMONEMO -Japanese Ver.-.
