Jihyo, the leader of K-pop powerhouse girl group TWICE, made a notable appearance at the Golden Globe Awards.
According to JYP Entertainment on January 14 KST, Jihyo attended the Golden Globe Awards on January 11 (local time) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, following an official invitation from French champagne brand Moët & Chandon.
Established in 1944, the Golden Globe Awards is one of Hollywood’s most prestigious ceremonies, honoring excellence across film and television. As the event’s official champagne partner, Moët & Chandon invited Jihyo as part of its global partnership with the awards.
JYP Entertainment stated, “Jihyo captivated attention with her elegant and alluring gown, paired with a confident and sophisticated presence.”
The occasion held special meaning as Netflix’s hit animated film K‑Pop Demon Hunters—which features the song ‘TAKEDOWN’ performed by TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung, as well as ‘Strategy’ from TWICE’s 14th mini album—won two major honors: 'Best Original Song and Best Animated Feature'.
Jihyo shared celebratory moments with director Maggie Kang and Rei Ami, who provided the singing voice for Joy, a member of the film’s fictional girl group Huntr/x, expressing her congratulations on the film’s achievements.
Meanwhile, TWICE is currently continuing their sixth world tour, ‘THIS IS FOR’, Part 2. The tour features a 360-degree stage configuration with all seating sections opened, underscoring the group’s massive global demand. After performances in Vancouver on January 9 and 10, TWICE will continue meeting fans across North America, Europe, and Taipei.
