An update has emerged regarding the individual widely referred to as comedian Park Na Rae’s so-called “injection aunt,” drawing renewed attention to the ongoing controversy.
On January 2, a video released on the YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho reported that the individual, identified as A, has retained a major law firm as legal counsel. According to Lee Jin Ho, A is preparing to take an active legal stance in response to the allegations.
A is currently under investigation for alleged violations of the Medical Service Act, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, and the Narcotics Control Act, including offenses related to psychotropic substances. In connection with the case, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station imposed a travel ban on A last month.
With the appointment of a large law firm, A is expected to formally engage in legal proceedings, indicating that the matter is unlikely to be resolved in the near future.
Authorities are also examining allegations that A administered intravenous injections and prescribed antidepressants to Park Na Rae in private spaces such as an officetel and a vehicle, despite not holding a valid medical license in South Korea.
Meanwhile, SBS’s investigative program 'Unanswered Questions' has announced that it is accepting tips related to A, further intensifying public scrutiny of the case.
