Na Young Seok’s production team is joining forces with Netflix to unveil a new hiking-themed variety show.
According to Netflix, on January 15, the variety series 'Take a Hike!' follows singer-songwriter Car the Garden, DAY6 member Dowoon, actor Lee Chae Min, and ALLDAY PROJECT member Tarzzan. These four men, who have had little to no interest in hiking throughout their lives, embark on their very first winter expedition across Korea’s snow-covered mountains.
True to its title, the show sets out to answer the question, “Why on earth do people go hiking?” Through this process, viewers will witness the grueling journey of the four participants as they voluntarily take on physical hardship. The program is also drawing attention as another collaboration between Na Young Seok’s renowned production team and Netflix.
Car, the Garden has received much love as a singer with a distinctive vocal tone and garnered attention with his witty charm in shows such as 'SNL Korea.' He is expected to bring his charm and laughter to the new show. Dowoon is also a rising star in the variety sector of the entertainment industry, as he has caught the attention of fans for his candid humor. Lee Chae Min, who is gaining global attention for his role in the hit drama 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty,' is taking on the challenge of appearing in this new unscripted series. Tarzzan of ALLDAY PROJECT has taken the spotlight in 2025 for his boundless energy and quirky charm, which contrast to his charismatic, chic charm on stage.
Producer Park Hyun Yong commented, “As the saying goes, ‘Suffering together brings people close.’ Watching four men who were complete strangers rapidly bond while trekking up and down snow-covered mountains in minus-20-degree weather is the biggest highlight of the show.” He added, “We hope viewers will look forward to seeing how these men, who never understood the appeal of hiking, come to experience the unique fun of K-hiking and grow through the journey.”
Meanwhile, 'Take a Hike!' will be released on Netflix.
