Hwasa has shared her thoughts on the growing popularity of her solo track “Good Goodbye.”

On January 9, a video titled “Sung Si Kyung’s Let's Eat | Mangwon Station Mongolian Fresh Salt Grilled Pork (with Hwasa)” was uploaded to Sung Si Kyung’s YouTube channel.

In the video, Sung Si Kyung explained why Hwasa appeared as a guest, saying, “Hwasa joined me as a concert guest twice,” before adding, “She has her concert coming up on January 17 and said she wanted to promote it, so we decided to film this together.”

The two met at a meat restaurant near Mangwon Station. Hwasa explained the choice of location, saying, “The office of the ‘Good Goodbye’ music video team is nearby. The directors recommended this place, saying the food here is really good.”

Hwasa is currently preparing for her first solo concert at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall. She shared, “I’ll be performing about 21 to 22 songs. The concert is titled ‘MI CASA,’ which means ‘my home.’ I really love being at home and the idea of ‘home’ as a space, so I started to think that the stage is, in a way, my home as well.

Sung Si Kyung then brought up the success of “Good Goodbye,” which has continued to hold the No. 1 spot on music charts following its resurgence. “Doesn’t it feel amazing to top the charts? Who wrote the song?” he asked. Hwasa replied, “I wrote it together with Woosang and my producer. I was really stuck on the lyrics for the B part. At the time, Shin Ae was also going through a kind of goodbye in her life, so she sent me lyrics that perfectly fit that section. That’s how it came together so naturally.”

She went on to share her honest feelings about the song’s success, saying, “I didn’t make this song to be a hit. My goal was to express the feeling of being trapped in my own emotions as honestly as possible. Knowing that people truly felt that emotion makes me happier than the song hitting No. 1.”

After hearing this, Sung Si Kyung praised Hwasa, saying, “You really have the spirit of an artist. You’re clear about what you want to do, and you have something you want to express through your stories and concerts. That’s what makes you such a compelling artist.”

The two artists continued to share a deep conversation about their artistry and their musical journey. Hwasa also expressed her gratitude toward Sung Si Kyung and explained, "I am so grateful when you told me a while back that it's time that I share my story. I felt you gave me sincere advice, and I appreciate it."

Meanwhile, 'MI CASA' marks Hwasa's first official solo concert, as the singer held various solo fan concerts in the past. Hwasa is scheduled to take the stage on January 17–18 at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Dongdaemun, Seoul.
