Felix, Rei, and Zhang Hao were among the K-pop idols whose viral moments were recognized as MIIM unveiled its selections for the best memes and challenges of 2025.
The idol-exclusive meme channel MIIM announced its '2025 MIIM/CHALLENGE OF THE YEAR' through its official Instagram account between December 15 and 31. A total of 29 top K-pop teams participated, presenting their most popular and creative viral content of the year.
The year 2025 saw an especially strong wave of distinctive and personality-driven memes. Stray Kids’ Felix kicked off MIIM’s exclusive content series with the “Sister’s mine~” meme, showcasing a striking contrast between his deep voice and shy gestures. NCT WISH’s Sakuya revisited his self-created alien-language concept with the so-called “Dududu” meme, repeating playful phrases such as “dududu, byabyabya, dididi.”
ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Gyuvin chose the “Protecting You” meme, adding NG cuts to the original video to amplify the humor, while his quirky charm completely shifted the mood. KISS OF LIFE’s Haneul and Natty teamed up for the “Grrr” meme, showing off their chemistry, while MEOVV reinterpreted the “67 Challenge,” a meme that originated from a middle school student shouting “67!” during an overseas basketball game.

ITZY took on the “'When Life Gives You Tangerines' Wink Challenge,” and STAYC members Yoon, Isa, and Sieun each put their own spin on the Japan-originated “When Life Gives You Tangerines' Challenge.” Baby DONT Cry’s Yihyun completed the “Love Challenge,” while Wonho and RIIZE’s Wonbin drew attention with sensual dance challenges, presenting the “Sugar on My Tongue” and “Doma Challenge,” respectively. The Boyz’s Juyeon connected with fans through virtual eye contact in the “Ocean Eyes” challenge.

ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s Junseo and Sangwon delivered an intense performance to aespa’s “Whiplash,” while VERIVERY’s Kangmin cutely reimagined TWS’s “Overdrive” choreography. DKB’s Harry June revived the “Like Jennie” dance that went viral during 'BOYS II PLANET,' and CRAVITY’s Jungmo impressed with the “Ira Ira Challenge,” beginning the clip by removing his helmet—a nod to his “helmet guy” nickname.
DKB’s Jaechan and Sehyeon, along with AHOF’s Cha Woong Ki and JL Gaspar, also left strong impressions with the “Don’t Do It” and “Broke Your Leg” challenges, respectively, enhancing their performances with expressive facial acting. Artists who expanded their own songs into challenges also stood out. Ian returned with the “Ian March,” while the hip choreography from “Style,” known for its pelvic movement, once again sparked a challenge craze on China’s Douyin platform.

CORTIS members presented fresh interpretations of their debut track. Keonho and Juhoon transformed “Fashion” into a trot-style version, while Seonghyeon, James, and Martin reworked “Go!” into a remix.
IVE’s Rei recreated the “Runaway Guinea Pig Challenge,” a nickname inspired by her energetic movements during the choreography for “Attitude.” Her bright eye smile and powerful arm motions highlighted the song’s killing point. FIFTY FIFTY’s Chanelle Moon reinterpreted the hit song “Pookie” in a boy-group style, offering a bold contrast to the original’s cute concept.
ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao unveiled the “Zhang Hao Douyin Challenge,” targeting the MZ generation. He personally took part in the video editing process, raising the overall quality. Seok Matthew added to the fun with the addictive “Barabam Challenge.”

KickFlip’s Kyehoon introduced a keyboard challenge, while BOYNEXTDOOR’s Taesan and Woonhak showcased a powerful duet challenge. Close Your Eyes’ Seo Kyoungbae revealed his comedic charm through the “Smooth Smooth” challenge. Kevin Woo also joined the lineup, participating directly in the “Your Idol” challenge after gaining attention as the mysterious vocalist of the fictional group Saja Boys from the 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' phenomenon.
TWS members Shinyu and Dohoon, known as the “Yudoz” duo, performed the “Soda Pop Challenge,” maximizing their refreshing image with bright energy and point choreography. Meanwhile, all '2025 Meme and Challenge of the Year content,' along with other idol-exclusive videos, can be found on MIIM’s official Instagram account (@myidol_miim).
