Byeon Woo Seok’s agency, VARO Entertainment, has announced strong legal action against malicious commenters.
On January 13, VARO Entertainment released an official statement regarding legal measures to protect its artists, stating that it has identified ongoing illegal acts such as malicious slander, defamation through the spread of false information, insults, sexual harassment, and personal attacks targeting its artists across online communities and social media platforms.
The agency emphasized that it is taking the matter seriously and has been collecting evidence through its internal monitoring system. VARO Entertainment has appointed major law firm Yulchon as its legal representative and is pursuing all possible legal actions, including criminal complaints.
“We will respond firmly and in accordance with principle, without any settlement or leniency, to any acts that infringe upon the honor and rights of our artists,” the agency stated.
VARO Entertainment further warned that baseless speculation and the distribution of distorted or false information can severely damage individuals’ reputations and lead to secondary harm, stressing that such actions constitute serious illegal behavior. The agency said it will continue strict monitoring and evidence collection to carry out strong legal measures.
The agency concluded by expressing gratitude to fans for their continued support and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its artists.
