BTS's V becomes the fastest person in the world to hit 70 Million followers on Instagram

Global K-pop icon V of BTS has set another huge milestone, becoming the fastest person in the world to reach 70 million followers on Instagram.

His official account, @thv, achieved the feat with just 150 posts, underscoring his exceptional influence on the platform.

With 70 million followers, V stands as the most-followed male Korean soloist on Instagram and the second most-followed Korean male act overall, after his own group, BTS, whose official account has 77 million followers.

Since BTS members launched their personal Instagram accounts in December 2021, V has consistently dominated the platform, ranking among the most engaged and influential accounts globally.

He previously earned two Guinness World Records for becoming the fastest person to reach 1 million and 10 million Instagram followers, both within hours of joining, and has since maintained that momentum.

According to a post by HYPEBEAST Korea, V also holds the record for the most-liked Instagram post by a Korean in 2025. 

The post shared during his military service amassed 17.7 million likes, further highlighting his enduring global popularity despite reduced activity during his 18-month mandatory military enlistment.

This latest milestone reinforces Taehyung’s status not only as a leading artist but as a powerful cultural figure in the digital era.
