Billlie is set to make a comeback with the release of a captivating new track. The group will drop its pre-release single, 'Cloud Palace ~ False Awakening,' on major music platforms at 6 PM KST on January 27.
Just a day before the release, Billlie members shared their thoughts ahead of the release. “As this is a pre-release single that opens 2026, we wanted to show a deeper and more evolved musical world,” they said.
They continued, “We poured our sincere feelings into this song for Belllie’ve, our fandom, who has always waited for us in the same place,” adding, “Starting with this single, a new chapter will unfold.”
The group also teased a more mature musical direction. “We plan to present an even more expanded sound and storytelling from Billlie,” they said, asking fans for anticipation and support.
Billlie offered a preview of the new release by unveiling a “stem sampler” on their official social media channels, featuring tracks such as “cloud palace” and a newly mixed version, “Before moonset mix.”
“Cloud palace” is described as a fusion track blending dream pop, jazz, and modern R&B. A representative explained, “The song will showcase an expanded genre spectrum and deeper storytelling.”
A portion of the lyrics was also revealed, including lines such as:
“Any path is fine / I’ll break through and fly to you / The sun that once turned away / The moon that once faced me / The seconds hand flowing, deceiving and hiding me / I’ll stop it and go.”
The “Before moonset mix” features vocals in Korean, English, and Japanese. The agency noted, “Billlie transcended language boundaries to complete an exotic and distinctive mood for the track.”
Meanwhile, the new song serves as the pre-release single that opens 'The Collective Soul and Unconscious: chapter two,' marking the beginning of Billlie’s next musical era.
