DAY6’s Young K reveals he has more songs registered with the copyright association than his role model G-Dragon, and the reason why is drawing attention.
On December 1, Young K and Dowoon appeared on the YouTube channel 'Zzanbro Shindongyeop'.

During the episode, Young K was introduced as a “hidden copyright powerhouse,” and an impressive record was highlighted.
When told that he currently ranks ahead of G-Dragon in the number of songs registered with the copyright association, Young K clarified, “In terms of earnings, the difference is incomparable. But if we’re only talking about the number of songs, I do have more.”
He added, “If I can’t win with quality, I’ll win with quantity. So I released music nonstop,” explaining that he always made sure his name was included in collaborations regardless of how much he contributed.

As a result, Young K is said to have a staggering 216 songs registered under his name.
Young K then revealed the reason behind this intense output: “I really lived desperately. The reason I composed and wrote lyrics was survival.”
He added, “If I hadn’t brought in good songs, I wouldn’t have been able to debut,” reflecting on how urgent and pressured that period of his life felt.
