Singer Yoon Jong Shin garnered attention for holding a "the world's first ever concert cancellation show".
Earlier this week on December 25 KST, a day after completing the first of a 4-day show, Yoon Jong Shin announced the cancellation of the remaining 3-days of his concert, 'Events That Happened to Me this Year'. Originally scheduled to take place from December 24-28 KST, the remaining shows were cancelled after Yoon Jong Shin was diagnosed with acute bronchitis.
Along with the cancellations, Yoon Jong Shin assured that all ticket holders would receive a 100% refund for their purchases. He also promised that he would reschedule his concert as early as possible, looking into booking a venue in February.
He then also announced, "As for me, my band, and the concert production team, we will still be at the venue for the 3-days. For anyone who was not able to secure other plans on these days, if anyone is open to attending a radio-style talk and listening session without live singing, feel free to come out. This invite is for anyone who bought tickets to this concert, after you've received your refund. Just come to the venue at the concert time and spend time with me."
Sure enough, Yoon Jong Shin and his crew kept their promise and held what may be "the world's first ever concert cancellation show"! SNS users shared their enthusiastic reviews and photos after attending, writing, "It was a great chance to listen to interesting stories and also take photos more casually."
