TWICE has signaled possible legal action in response to privacy-invading behavior by some fans.
On December 15, JYP Entertainment posted a notice on the official fan community platform FANS, stating, “Recently, there have been confirmed cases of some fans intruding on TWICE’s private lives or making excessive approaches during the group’s personal time and private, non-public schedules.”
The agency expressed safety concerns, explaining, “Such actions cause psychological burden and stress for the artists,” and added that they can “create significant inconvenience for the members, who are already managing frequent overseas schedules.”
Specific examples of reported incidents were also outlined, including unauthorized photography during unofficial schedules such as vacations or visits to their family homes, photographing family members or acquaintances traveling with the artists, repeated attempts to initiate conversation, and obstructing their path.
JYP Entertainment warned of a firm response, emphasizing, “If these behaviors continue or situations that make the members uncomfortable persist, we will take necessary measures to protect our artists.”
The statement concluded with an appeal to fans: “We will do our utmost to ensure that our artists can continue their activities and rest in as stable an environment as possible. We once again ask for fans’ mature consideration and cooperation.”
Meanwhile, TWICE will continue the momentum of their world tour 'This Is For' next month, with a concert scheduled for January 10 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
