Actress So Joo Yeon revealed just how much 'Pro Bono' means to her as she unexpectedly broke into tears during the drama’s press conference.
The cast and crew of tvN’s new Sat–Sun drama 'Pro Bono' held an online production presentation on December 2, attended by director Kim Sung Yoon and cast members Jung Kyung Ho, So Joo Yeon, Lee Yoo Young, Yoon Na Moo, Seo Hye Won, and Kang Hyung Seok.
During the event, So Joo Yeon said, “'Pro Bono' embodies the spirit of ‘nevertheless.’ To those who think, ‘What difference can someone like me make?,’ the drama delivers the message, ‘Even if it’s just me, I can take action and change this world.’”
Moments later, she couldn’t hold back her emotions and began to sob. Wiping away tears, she added, “While working on 'Pro Bono,' I became more tearful,” showing how deeply the project had affected her.
She continued, “I received so much comfort while filming this drama. Director Kim Sung Yoon truly felt like part of the team. He took great care of every character and made the process enjoyable. I really wanted to express my gratitude to him in a public setting.”
'Pro Bono' follows Kang David (Jung Kyung Ho), a snobbish judge obsessed with success, who unexpectedly becomes a public-interest attorney and ends up stuck in a zero-revenue public service team hidden away in a major law firm. The human legal drama premieres on December 6 at 9:10 p.m.
