Kihyun of MONSTA X successfully concluded his role as a judge on Netflix’s ‘Veiled Musician,’ leaving a strong impression until the very end.
Kihyun wrapped up his appearance on ‘Veiled Musician’ on December 31. First released on Netflix on November 12, ‘Veiled Musician’ is an audition program where contestants are evaluated solely based on their voices. Serving as a judge, Kihyun consistently drew attention with evaluations rooted in both his professional experience and genuine passion for music.
Throughout the show, Kihyun demonstrated versatility as a judge, balancing warm empathy with sharp and objective analysis. His realistic advice and thoughtful feedback as an active artist enriched the judging process, heightening viewer immersion while also helping contestants unlock their hidden potential.
His enthusiastic reactions also stood out. Kihyun openly praised contestants with comments such as, “I think I’ve fallen in love with this voice,” and “This is exactly the kind of singer we need,” boosting morale and creating a warm atmosphere that added energy to the program.
Kihyun also showcased his artistry by releasing the duet track “Bad Liar” with contestant “Jeongdongmyeon Steel Vocal.” The song is included in his first solo album ‘YOUTH.’ During the third round duet mission, which aired on December 17, Kihyun personally selected the song based on the contestant’s vocal strengths, delivering a perfectly matched duet that later resonated again through its official release.
In the final round released on December 31, Kihyun shared his excitement, saying he wanted the contestants’ performances to be heard by as many people as possible. His detailed explanations of each stage and passionate engagement with the judging process until the end left a lasting emotional impact.
Meanwhile, MONSTA X recently completed the large scale US year end event ‘2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour.’ The group will continue their global activities with a new world tour, ‘THE X : NEXUS,’ set to take place from January 30 to February 1, 2026, at KSPO DOME in Seoul.
