MODHAUS, the agency representing tripleS and IDNTT, has announced legal action against malicious commenters targeting its artists.
On December 23 KST, MODHAUS stated, “We are closely monitoring malicious slander, the spread of false information, personal attacks, and defamatory posts targeting our artists across online platforms and social media.”
The agency added, “In particular, defamation is a serious crime under Articles 307(1) and 307(2) of the Criminal Act, punishable by up to five years in prison, up to ten years of suspension of qualifications, or a fine of up to 10 million KRW. We are therefore managing these matters with heightened scrutiny.”
MODHAUS further emphasized, “We will respond firmly to malicious slander, false information, personal attacks, and defamation, and we make it clear that there will be no leniency or settlements in connection with legal action.”
The statement continued, “We once again promise to do our utmost to protect our artists.”
Meanwhile, MODHAUS is home to girl groups tripleS and ARTMS, as well as boy group IDNTT.
