Former SeeYa member Nam Gyu Ri surprised fans by attending a fan’s wedding and delivering a heartfelt congratulatory performance.
Singer and actress Nam Gyu Ri created a touching moment by gifting a special wedding surprise to a longtime fan.
On December 21 KST, a video titled “Ep.26 Surprise Prank for My Longtime Fan | I Went to Gwangju to Sing at a Wedding” was uploaded to Nam Gyu Ri’s official YouTube channel, Nam Gyu Ri’s Gyulmong.
The video captures Nam Gyu Ri traveling to Gwangju to sing a congratulatory song at the wedding of an ordinary couple, documenting a meaningful and unforgettable day.
The surprise event began with a message sent in by the groom. During a pre-meeting, the groom shared, “My fiancé listens to SeeYa’s songs a lot, and Nam Gyu Ri is her favorite member,” expressing her longtime fandom.
Without hesitation, Nam Gyu Ri responded warmly, saying she wanted to personally sing the bride’s favorite song at the wedding, readily agreeing to perform the congratulatory song.
Heading to Gwangju filled with excitement, Nam Gyu Ri was seen practicing SeeYa’s “Shall We Get Married?”, the song she planned to sing, while riding in the car.
On the wedding day, the groom and Nam Gyu Ri carefully carried out the surprise hidden-camera event they had prepared together.
As a congratulatory video prepared by the groom for the bride was being played, the audio suddenly cut out, and the screen appeared to freeze awkwardly, as if a technical issue had occurred. The unsuspecting bride looked visibly flustered by the unexpected situation.
At that moment, Nam Gyu Ri appeared as if to resolve the issue, took the microphone, and began singing “Shall We Get Married?”, revealing herself to the audience.
Upon recognizing her, the bride was overcome with surprise and emotion, tearing up as guests erupted in loud cheers. The venue was instantly filled with a warm and emotional atmosphere.
After successfully completing the surprise and leaving the venue, Nam Gyu Ri candidly shared, “I almost cried myself,” recalling the overwhelming emotions of the moment.
The bride, who became the main character of the event, also shared her feelings, saying, “I’ve liked Nam Gyu Ri since elementary school. I’ve been a fan for about 17 to 18 years,” adding, “I don’t think I’ll ever forget this moment for the rest of my life,” with a trembling voice.
