Singer Lim Young Woong’s fan cafe ‘Hero Era Gwangju–Jeonnam’ has stepped forward to support children battling cancer.
On December 15, the Korea Leukemia Children’s Foundation announced that it received a donation of 5 million KRW (approximately USD 3,700) along with 100 Niver dolls from Lim Young Woong’s fan cafe ‘Hero Era Gwangju–Jeonnam’. The Niver dolls are comfort dolls used by the foundation to support children with cancer during treatment.
The donation was organized to commemorate Lim Young Woong’s upcoming concert, ‘IM HERO TOUR 2025 – Gwangju’, set to take place on December 19. The entire donation will be used to cover medical treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
In addition, the 100 Niver dolls were created through a fan-participation doll-making campaign. The handmade dolls will be delivered to children undergoing treatment, offering emotional comfort and serving as friendly companions during their hospital stays.

A representative from the fan cafe shared, “This donation is especially meaningful as it was prepared by fans who have been eagerly awaiting the Gwangju concert.” They added, “We resonate with the warm heart that Lim Young Woong shows, and we hope this contribution brings even a small sense of comfort and strength to the children.” The representative also expressed their desire to continue spreading positive influence together with fellow fans in the future.
Founded in 1991, the Korea Leukemia Children’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization specializing in pediatric cancer. It continues to provide ongoing support to children with cancer and their families through medical expense assistance as well as psychological and social programs.
