Kim Jae Joong has finally been recognized by KBS, 22 years after his debut.
On December 20, the singer and actor attended the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards, marking his first-ever appearance at the ceremony. He took home the Excellence Award in the Reality Category for his role in 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-staurant'.
During his acceptance speech, Kim Jae Joong shared a humorous mishap. "My father told me he had a good dream and to expect something, so I wrote the names of people I need to thank on my palm," he laughed. "But I clapped so much that the ink rubbed off."
He then gave credit to his family: "I have to mention my parents. I believe I received this love because we showed our honest family stories. 99% of this award belongs to my parents. Thank you so much."
Kim Jae Joong received love this year for showcasing his professional cooking skills and his warm daily life with his large family on 'Fun-staurant'.
Currently active on his YouTube channel 'Jaefriends', Kim Jae Joong is also preparing to meet fans as a singer. He will kick off his '2026 J-PARTY Asia Tour Fan Concert: GALAXY 1986' next January.
