Actress Kim Hee Sun was visibly moved to tears after receiving an unexpected gift of cash at the wrap party for her drama 'No Next Life.'
On December 17, Kim Hee Sun shared a video on social media along with a heartfelt message: “Thank you so much to everyone who loved ‘No Next Life.’ I’ll come back to you again with even better work in the future.” She continued, “I hope you all wrap up the rest of 2025 well and welcome a happy new year. Sending lots of love. Go Jo Na Jeong”
The video captures a touching moment from the drama’s wrap party. While enjoying the celebration with fellow cast members and staff, Kim Hee Sun was presented with a surprise gift from the production team. When she opened the box, bundles of cash kept pouring out, leaving her completely stunned. Clearly caught off guard, Kim Hee Sun’s eyes welled up with tears, and she eventually covered her face and mouth with her hands, overwhelmed with emotion.
With tears glistening in her eyes, Kim Hee Sun went on to blow out the candles on the celebratory cake alongside her co-stars and the production staff, marking the successful conclusion of the series.
Many colleagues left warm comments in response. Actress Han Hye Jin , who starred alongside Kim Hee Sun, wrote, “Sister~ I’ll never forget lovely Jo Na Jeong.” Musical actor Kim Ho Young commented, “Sister~ you worked so hard!!!! Meanwhile, the final episode of TV CHOSUN’s Monday-Tuesday drama 'No Next Life,' which aired on December 16, recorded a peak minute-by-minute viewership rating of 3.9 percent according to Nielsen Korea, finishing on a high note.
The finale depicted Jo Na Jeong (Kim Hee Sun), Gu Ju Young (Han Hye Jin), Lee Il Ri (Jin Seo Yeon), and their trio of friends with a 20-year history as they found happiness in friendship, love, and family, delivering a heartwarming happy ending.
