Singer Kim Gun Mo successfully held his first solo concert in nearly six years, marking a long awaited return to the stage.
On December 21, SeeYa member Kim Yeon Ji shared photos on her official Instagram along with the caption, “The legend has returned. Truly a legend in every sense.” The images showed Kim Gun Mo performing on stage, captured from the audience, as well as a commemorative photo of Kim Yeon Ji standing beside him.
Kim Yeon Ji praised the performance, writing, “You were absolutely amazing. It was even more touching to see you again. It was also so nice to see Hong Kyung Min. As always, you shine brightest when you are on stage. Every performance was mesmerizing, joyful, and truly happy.”
Kim Gun Mo was previously accused in December 2019 of sexually assaulting a woman identified as A, a former employee at an adult entertainment establishment, over an incident alleged to have occurred in 2016. Kim Gun Mo consistently denied the allegations and countersued A on charges of false accusation and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act.
In November 2021, prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient evidence and cleared Kim Gun Mo of all charges. A’s appeal was dismissed in June 2022, and a subsequent request for judicial review was also rejected in November 2022.
During the legal process, Kim Gun Mo divorced his wife, who is 13 years younger than him. After a six year hiatus, he has officially returned to music through his concert series titled ‘25-26 Kim Gun Mo Live Tour’.
