Former Girl's Day member and actress Hyeri is set to become an aunt. Just one month after she was seen shedding emotional tears at her younger sister’s wedding, news of a new life has been shared.
On December 17, Hyeri’s younger sister, Lee Hyerim, personally announced her pregnancy through social media, writing, “I have one. A baby human.” The post included an ultrasound photo of the fetus, drawing attention from fans and followers. Lee added, “Our little ‘Ppiyak’ has become quite human,” revealing the baby’s nickname as “Ppiyak.” Hyeri responded in the comments with “Ppiyak ppiak,” openly expressing her excitement and joy at becoming an aunt.
Lee Hyerim previously held her wedding ceremony last weekend in Seoul, marrying a non-celebrity groom. The couple is known to have dated for around ten years before tying the knot. At the time, Hyeri was spotted at the ceremony tightly embracing her sister and wiping away tears, a moment that quickly became a topic of discussion. Holding a wet tissue and visibly overwhelmed with emotion, Hyeri’s deep affection for her sister was evident.
Hyeri has often spoken about her close bond with her sister in past interviews and broadcasts, saying, “She’s the closest person to me and my best friend.” Last year, she also appeared on the YouTube variety show 'Salon Drip 2,' where she shared, “We’ve never fought even once. Just thinking about my sister makes me tear up,” highlighting their strong sisterly bond.
Following her wedding announcement, Lee Hyerim received another wave of congratulations with the pregnancy news. She also shared details about how she discovered she was pregnant through her YouTube channel. She explained, “I didn’t realize until I was six weeks along. When I went to the hospital, the doctor asked why I came so late.” She added, “I took a pregnancy test after missing my period, and the two lines were very clear.”
She continued by candidly sharing her current condition, saying she has experienced morning sickness, food cravings, and even nausea while brushing her teeth. “I suddenly crave food in the middle of the night, and my skin has been breaking out badly,” she shared honestly.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyerim previously gained attention after appearing in Hyeri’s YouTube content, where her striking visuals became a hot topic. She is currently active as an influencer with around 110,000 followers. Hyeri, on the other hand, is continuing her busy career with upcoming projects including the ENA drama 'Dream to You,' Netflix variety show 'Agents of Mystery season 2,' and the film 'Night Fever.'
