Amid allegations linking singer Hong Jin Young to the so-called “injection aunt,” it has been confirmed that the claims are not true.
According to reporting on December 23rd KST, photos recently circulated showing Hong Jin Young with the individual identified as “injection aunt” A were taken approximately 12 years ago. It has been confirmed that Hong Jin Young has no personal relationship with A. Hong Jin Young’s side explained, “It was from 12 years ago, so there is no recollection at all, and she has no relationship with A.”
Speculation surrounding Hong Jin Young’s alleged connection to A surfaced on December 22nd through a YouTube channel, which shared photos of Hong Jin Young posing with A and others. However, as Hong Jin Young’s side clearly denied any association with A, the controversy is expected to come to an end.
The individual known as “injection aunt” A became publicly known during revelations made by former managers of comedian Park Na Rae. Allegations were raised that Park’s managers obtained psychotropic drugs through proxy prescriptions and that illegal medical procedures were carried out at private residences by non-medical personnel. As A’s identity emerged, reports suggesting connections to figures such as Jung Jae Hyung, SHINee’s Key, Jun Hyun Moo, HAETNIM, and Kang Min Kyung spread rapidly, sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry.
Park Na Rae’s side previously stated, “All that happened was receiving vitamin injections from someone who held a medical license,” adding, “We first met (the ‘injection aunt’) at a hospital and later became close, and whenever schedules became overwhelming, house calls were requested.” Regarding allegations of accompanying overseas schedules, her side explained, “It is true that the individual joined as a close acquaintance who wanted to experience overseas filming sites, but this was unrelated to filming or any medical practice.”
On December 8th, a formal complaint was filed with Seoul Gangnam Police Station against Park Na Rae, the “injection aunt,” former managers, and unidentified medical professionals and pharmacists. The charges include violations of the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances), the Medical Service Act, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, the Waste Management Act, and the Act on Special Measures for the Control of Health Crimes.
