EXO is officially making their long-awaited return after two years and six months, kicking off their comeback with a special showcase to celebrate the release of their new album.
EXO will release their 8th full-length album ‘REVERXE’ on January 19, 2026. All nine tracks from the album will be unveiled simultaneously across major music platforms at 6 PM KST. Later that evening, at 7:30 PM KST, the group will hold a comeback showcase at Peace Hall, Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
At the showcase, EXO will perform songs from their 8th full-length album ‘REVERXE’ for the first time and share various behind-the-scenes stories related to the album. The event will mark their first comeback celebration with fans in the same space in over two and a half years, raising anticipation among fans.
Ahead of the album release, EXO also appeared at MMA 2025 on December 20, where they premiered the stage for their new song “Back It Up.” The group captivated audiences with the powerful performance, while also delivering stages of their mega-hit songs such as “Monster,” “The Eve,” “Love Shot,” and “Growl,” sparking massive sing-alongs from both fans and junior artists in attendance.
“Back It Up,” a track included on EXO’s upcoming 8th full-length album, is a dynamic dance song driven by bold synth brass sounds, a heavy 808 bass line, and repeated beat transitions that heighten its intensity. The song conveys a message of overcoming prolonged darkness and proving oneself at the highest point, and drew attention for its large-scale stage featuring EXO alongside 40 dancers.
