The thief responsible for stealing a credit card belonging to actress Jeon Hye Bin—causing damages of 15 million KRW(approximately 10,000 USD)—has been caught.
According to recent Indonesian media reports, police have arrested a theft ring responsible for stealing the card of Jeon Hye Bin’s husband. The group consisted of ten members, and five victims were identified, including Jeon Hye Bin’s husband, who—along with the others—was a foreign national from Korea and China.
Reports state that the perpetrators were of Indonesian, Chinese, and Mongolian nationality, and they used the stolen credit cards to transfer money to overseas accounts.
Back in October, Jeon Hye Bin posted on social media saying, “My card was stolen here (in Ubud, Indonesia), and 15 million KRW was charged…” She also uploaded a map screenshot of the Ubud area where the theft occurred during her trip.
Jeon added, “Everyone staying in Ubud or planning to travel here, please be careful. Everything happened within ten minutes of losing the card.”
Meanwhile, Jeon Hye Bin married a dentist two years her senior in 2019 and welcomed a son in September 2022.
