Ahn Jae Hyun has candidly spoken about rumors that surrounded him during his early modeling days, drawing laughter by saying he is “actually grateful,” while also revealing an unexpected behind-the-scenes story from K.Will’s iconic music video.
A video titled 'The Top Gay’s 2025th Confession: The Final Gem of 2025, Ahn Jae Hyun' was uploaded to the YouTube channel Hong Seok Cheon’s Jewelry Box, run by broadcaster Hong Seok Cheon.
In the video, Ahn Jae Hyun reunited with Hong Seok Cheon, with whom he has shared a long-standing connection, engaging in a conversation that was both lighthearted and sincere.
The two previously worked together in the 2014 film Fashion King and have maintained their friendship ever since. Appearing on the show wearing an expensive pair of glasses gifted by Ahn Jae Hyun, Hong praised the actor’s thoughtful and warm personality. Jokingly, Hong remarked, “Because Ahn Jae Hyun expresses his emotions so beautifully, I almost misunderstood him for a moment,” while applauding his kind nature.
Ahn Jae Hyun also reminisced about his exceptional popularity even before his official modeling debut. He recalled, “During my school days, I would prepare a bag in advance just to carry all the Pepero Day gifts, and I would intentionally arrive late to school,” sharing an anecdote that reflected his comfort with public attention. Hong Seok Cheon added that Ahn’s looks are the kind that naturally appeal to both men and women, offering high praise for his visuals.

Most notably, Ahn Jae Hyun drew attention with his unexpected response to the “gay rumors” that circulated during his modeling career. He said he was “actually thankful” for such speculation. Explaining further, Ahn noted, “At the time, the fashion industry was heavily centered on women’s wear, and I think those rumors came about because I was able to pull off that style well,” showing a generous mindset by accepting the rumors as a form of professional compliment.
He also shared behind-the-scenes details about K.Will’s "Please Don’t…" music video, which sparked massive attention both in Korea and internationally for its bromance storyline with Seo In Guk. Ahn Jae Hyun revealed, “I had no idea the ending would be that shocking. I only found out what the ending was after all the filming was completed.” He added that after a later meeting, Seo In Guk and K.Will, privately, he suggested working together again—an idea that eventually led to the follow-up song "No Sad Song For My Broken Heart." Ahn expressed deep gratitude toward K.Will for the opportunity.
