TVING’s upcoming original series ‘Villains’ has unveiled its first poster, raising anticipation for its tense, high-stakes storyline.
‘Villains’ is a crime-action drama that explores the brutal clashes between criminals caught in the dangerous web of an ultra-precise counterfeit bill known as the Supernote. As players trade fake money for real currency, only to have it stolen again, the series evolves into an unpredictable mind game where every move could determine who emerges victorious.
The newly released poster highlights the chilling presence of each central figure, their cold gazes revealing different motives hidden beneath the surface. Although J (Yoo Ji Tae), Cha Ki Tae (Lee Beom Soo), and Han Soo Hyun (Lee Min Jung) are all locked onto the same target, none of them reveal their true intentions, hinting at the explosive collision of their conflicting ambitions. The tagline, “The ‘super’ crime of the worst begins,” teases a world built on fragile alliances, betrayal, and blood-stained deals.
Yoo Ji Tae stars as J, a mastermind criminal with a perfect 100 percent success rate. Operating under a codename that conceals his true identity, he is known as the genius architect behind the infamous Casino Dealer Counterfeit Bill Case.
Lee Beom Soo takes on the role of Cha Ki Tae, a former NIS Financial Crimes Task Force leader who lost everything after the Casino Dealer Counterfeit Bill Case. With the Supernote reappearing, he sets out to pursue J with relentless determination.
Lee Min Jung plays Han Soo Hyun, a top currency-design artist whose life was derailed by a single incident. After years of waiting for the right moment, she returns to the game with a plan to overturn the entire scheme.
The production team remarked, “With each villain chasing the ultra-precise Supernote for their own motives and desires, viewers can expect a gripping mind game full of deception and conflict.”
‘Villains’ premieres on December 18.
