Actor Lee Yi Kyung’s agency, Sangyoung ENT, has released an updated statement addressing recent online rumors about his personal life.
On November 3, the agency stated, “We express deep regret regarding the false information and defamation of our artist, Lee Yi Kyung, that has been circulating online. Through our legal representatives, we have submitted evidence and officially filed a complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station against those responsible for creating and spreading the false claims.”
They continued, “We have not engaged in, nor will we ever engage in, any form of settlement or compensation discussions regarding this matter. We will continue to monitor malicious posts that damage our artist’s character and reputation and will take legal action without leniency.”
The agency emphasized its commitment to protecting Lee Yi Kyung’s rights, saying, “We recognize that this is a time when one must protect themselves from fabricated and distorted information. We will do our utmost to prevent further harm caused by baseless speculation and false content.”
Previously, on October 20, an anonymous user posted allegations about Lee Yi Kyung’s private life online, sparking rumors. The agency swiftly denied the claims as completely false and announced plans for legal action.
The original poster later apologized, admitting that the post was based on doctored photos and fabricated content. The controversy has since subsided, and Lee Yi Kyung has continued his activities as usual, including filming for SBS Plus and ENA’s reality show ‘I’m SOLO.’
