JYP Entertainment and its artists have stepped forward to support recovery efforts following the recent fire incident in Hong Kong.
On November 28, the agency announced via Weibo that it had donated 377 million KRW (approximately 290,000 USD) through Hong Kong World Vision.
A representative from the agency expressed condolences, saying, “We send our heartfelt sympathies to everyone who lost family members or their homes. We hope that small acts of warmth come together to create light.”
JYP artists also joined the relief efforts. Stray Kids contributed 188 million KRW (about 145,000 USD) to assist those affected.
“We were deeply saddened by the tragic news,” the members shared. “We sincerely hope for the swift recovery of the residents and bereaved families impacted by this fire.”
They also extended gratitude to first responders, adding, “We pay our respects to all the heroes who risked their safety to carry out rescue operations on site.”
KickFlip donated 18.88 million KRW (around 14,500 USD) to help support residents in need, stating that they “hope for the earliest possible return to normal life for all those affected.”
According to the agency, the donations will go toward providing temporary housing for displaced children and residents, as well as psychological support services for those dealing with trauma from the disaster.
