JTBC confirmed that acclaimed actors Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook will star in its upcoming fantasy romantic comedy drama, 'Human X Gumiho' (literal title).
'Human X Gumiho' follows the story of a mystical being who can charm humans and a man who mysteriously attracts supernatural creatures, bringing them together at the intersection of fate in a story filled with romance and humor.
The drama is directed by Kim Jung Sik, known for 'No Gain No Love' and 'Strong Girl Namsoon,' and written by Im Meari, recognized for her rom-com works including 'Beauty Inside' and 'Doom at Your Service.'
Jun Ji Hyun is confirmed to star as Gu Ja Hong, a top actress admired for her beauty and acting talent. She is also a 2,000-year-old gumiho (mythical nine-tailed fox) whose charm over humans often leads to scandals. When she encounters Choi Seok, a human immune to her powers, she becomes both intrigued and determined.
Ji Chang Wook is confirmed to star as Choi Seok, a talented shaman and director of the Osung Museum. Beneath his cheerful and playful exterior lies the ability to perceive the darker sides of the world. When Gu Ja Hong unexpectedly enters his life, he is drawn to her, leading to dramatic changes.
The pairing of Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook is highly anticipated, promising a captivating blend of fantasy, romance, and comedy.
'Human X Gumiho' will air on JTBC, and it will also be available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
